Welcome to the Georgia Tech Robojackets RoboCup wiki! We meet weekly on Thursdays at 6:30PM in the Tin Building (building #48 on the map - Mechanical Engineering Research Building).

November 1st:

  • Mechanical
    • Working prototype of drive train and chassis
    • Crude prototypes of kicker/dribbler
    • Chipper ideas
  • Electrical
  • Software
    • Basic system overview designed
    • Vision system implemented
    • Communication framework in place
    • Start motion control

November 26th:

  • Mechanical
    • Complete prototype with a chosen kicker/dribbler design in place (not nessessarily final design)
    • Layout/integration of electrical components finished
  • Electrical
    • Rev 1
  • Software
    • Basic motion control finished
    • Debug/Log/Playback system designed and started
    • Vision/Comm features finalized

February 15th:

  • Qualification for Robocup 2008: Team Description Paper and one minute video are due by February 15th, 2008 (11.59 PM, GMT-8) (Pacific Time)

July 14th to July 20th:

  • RoboCup 2008 in Suzhou, China

Travel

  • Everyone traveling to China for the competition in Summer 2008 needs a passport
  • To obtain a new passport
    • Get an application from the US Dept of State (form DS-11)
    • Bring a photo ID, completed application, official birth certificate with embossed seal and payment of $112 to a US post office
    • Visa will also need to be issued and taken care of once passports are issued
    • Visas should be obtained through the local RoboCup organization but if not, obtained via Chinese Embassies in the US
    • Passports may take up to 5 months to process, so if you want to go and need one - DO IT NOW

  • Members traveling overseas should contact their health insurance provider to check coverage overseas.
