Announcements

  • 08/08/06 Finally put down on paper and wiki the protocol design. Will add some more pics and give more detail as time goes on. Next up wireless hardware. --Phillip
  • 06/27/06 Posted a link to an entire book on protocol design, a Berkley paper on wireless protocol design and a paper from Ohio University on thier wireless design. The Berkley paper is a real-world application of the stuff in the protocol desing book. The OU team used 802.11 for thier transmission but they are proposing a new communications method where all information is sent to captain robot who dishes it out to each robot. They are aall great starting point for our wireless design. --Phillip
  • 06/20/06 I looked up the price of the dev kit for the Linx modules. You get everything you need but it cost $299.99 on digikey. Here is a link to it Dev kit. It might be a good idea to go ahead and buy it to test out. They have an ES-series quick kit thats a bit cheaper at $179.99. Its here.--Phillip
  • 06/17/06 I've posted the schematic for the wireless board. Its a rough version one, I'll refine it through the week. Give your input, its under the wireless in the electrical section. I've also posted the general roadmap on this page under general roadmap. --Phillip
  • 06/01/06 I've updated the electrical with a to-do list on each page. Also have we chosen a motor yet? Andy by general roadmap do you mean the plan we wrote up at the meeting?--Phillip Yes. --Andy 11:13, 2 June 2006 (EDT)
  • 05/31/06 Would someone (I think Phil or Ryan) please email or post the general roadmap so the other teams can add it to their page?
  • 05/06/06 Found a mailing list for small size hosted by the CoC here
