Problems
- Flywheels came off because they were held in with a press fit and a flange
- Weapon drive wheel ballooned and went over the cap that was supposed to hold it in
- Lower RPM compared to drums makes it so that it gets hit first
- Because our orders went out of stock (VEX) we had to redesign last minute and went overweight
- We should have done weight savings on anything we could have
Good aspects
- Did not take any damage when spinning properly
- Actually spun up
- Drive worked and never took any damage
Changes/Improvements
- Retain flywheels better
- Make weapon drive wheel out of a hard rubber. DO NOT USE SILICONE
- Use more plastic on low stress components
- You can buy urethane coated bearings. We probably would have used that if we knew.
WakiiSmakii
Broke before it could compete.
Changes Made
- New Flywheel design with thrust bearings to hold flywheels from above
- New Tooth design
- New top and bottom plates
Problems
- Electronics needed to be held more strongly.
