  • I noticed that the power budget does not include the dribbler motor. I will put up the specs of the motor we are looking at shortly.--Shaun 15:03, 7 Nov 2006
  • Well as a check we still need to do some research on max current draw, ie the current draw with motors at max and solenoid charging + some head room. This of course is based on the internal resistence of the battery. Its just hard for me to believe that teams don't gravitate to Li-ion. I attribute this to the whole I can't believe I can get that much power from something that small complex. --Phillip 14:08, 27 Sept 2006 (EDT)
  • So, we've kind of settled on batteries, see below --Andy 23:39, 26 September 2006 (EDT)
  • I agree, I was thinking along lines of RC car or even plan batteries. Jameco has a good selection, I've ordered from them and I'm pretty satisfied. What Voltagae do you think we need. I'm assuming 12V but the motor driver I'm thinking about can 6V-17V --Phillip 18:55, 28 May 2006 (EDT)
  • I would look at some sort of lithium polymer (highest energy density available). See Sparkfun Electronics and All Electronics for some ideas. (I'll get exact links later)--Andy
