Background

Drivetrain

Wheels:

Rollers lack traction

wheels come out of bearing

Bearings weren't press fit all the way.

Manufacturing rollers is time-consuming and inefficient

WJ'd center hole on the wheels should be smaller.

Motor Mounts:

Five holes on the bottom is redundant and time-consuming to manufacturing.

Screws fell out of MM to motor holes. Loctite may damage PCB at end of drivetrain.

Kicker

Axial rotation,

Kicker assembly breaks at base of boot, threads not strong enough to withstand repeated impacts

Inaccuracy due to flat head (centering on dribbler)

Internal solenoid holes are inconsistently manufactured

Steel parts inconsistently manufactured

Spring deforms, too weak spring constant

Back screw falls out

Dribbler

Gears fell off consistently

Gears are too thick

Dribbler motor rods are too short

Gears have "stiff spots" (inconsistent manufacturing)

Rollers are worst manufactured part, dowel pins not always aligned with roller

LED glue does not adequately hold LEDs

Sidestands compress the wire and push against the motor, misaligning it

Chassis and Shell

Baseplate should not be at max diameter

Back standoffs are unnecessary at best

Battery plate edges are sharp, has unnecessary thickness

Plastic screws are terrible

Shoulder screws required maintenance

*screws required maintenance

Competition Adjustments

Rollers were added to the kicker to compensate for increased boot concavity

Shims on motor mounts to attempt to level the robot

Stopped screwing in shells

Removed back standoffs
