RC09-Impact Test

The Impact test apparatus from 2008 is being reused. It can now accommodate a ball speed tester and carpet samples. These changes need to be validated as functional.

Overview

Originally developed in 2008 for testing shells. Utilizes a pneumatics piston to shoot the golf ball at high speeds.

Action Log

  1. 11/09/2008 - Hardware for the impact tester has been remounted on MDF and can now accommodate the speed trap and different carpets.
  2. 11/16/2008 - Pneumatics has been reinstalled. Carpet to kicking surface transition needs to be made level.
