As part of the RoboCup 2009 Mechanical, the Drive Motors provide power to the gear boxes allowing the robot to move.

  1. 07/10/2009 - Pinion shaft made into two different diameter segments to allow for encoder mounting on the back of the motor.
  2. 08/05/2009 - Pinion shafts modified.
  3. 10/25/2009 - Pinion shafts modified with additional features added to make assembly easier.
  4. 12/11/2009 - Pinion shafts arrive
  5. 12/22/2009 - Pinion shafts modified to fit motors as maxon's spec is slightly different.
  6. 01/16/2010 - New motor CAD model made.
  7. 01/22/2010 - Spacer dimensions checked with CMU.
  8. 01/31/2010 - Spacers made.
  9. 02/07/2010 - Drive motor disassembled and reassembled with custom shaft.
  10. 03/20/2010 - All drive motors successfully modified for prototype.
  11. 03/24/2010 - Changes to drive motor shaft completed after testing of drive base.
  12. 04/02/2010 - Fleet drive motors arrive.
