RC08FPGA
From GT RoboJackets
A new system for 2008 is the Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA). An FPGA is essentially starts life as a "goo" of electrical components such as AND gates, adders, and the like. When it is programed this goo can be molded into entire processors. For 2008 the FPGA has the task of converting encoder values into velocity, interfacing with the ball sensors, driving the kicker, and interfacing with the accelerometer.
