Communications

Connecting to the Drive

  1. Power up the drive
  2. Open Ultraware
  3. Ultraware by default should start scanning for drive addresses 0-10
  4. If not adjust the scan options under Tools-Rescan so that the drive scans up to your drive address
    1. Go under Tools-Rescan
    2. Check the box for Ultra3000
    3. To the right of that box should be two text boxes on for the From Node and the other is the To Node
    4. Make sure your drive address falls within the From Node-To Node range

The default comm settings for the drive are: Drive Address: 0 Broadcast Address: 255 Baud Rate: 38400 Format: 8 Data, No Parity

If the communications get all fucked up go to Tools-Recover Communications and follow the directions.
