March 22 Test

Test 1 - Stabilized Flight

Test 1A - Unpowered Stabilized Flight

  1. The UAV will be launched and be placed into autonomous control.
  2. The UAV will fly in a straight line for 1-2 minutes without power.
  3. The UAV will gather sensor readings while flying. These readings include GPS, compass, and imagery.
  4. The safety pilot will assume control and land the UAV.
  5. Scenario End.

Test 1B - Powered Stabilized Flight

Test 2 - Waypoint Orbit

  1. A UAV will be launched and be placed into autonomous control.
  2. The UAV will fly to a preprogrammed waypoint.
  3. The UAV will orbit that waypoint with a radius of 20-40 meters for 2-5 minutes.
  4. The UAV will gather sensor readings while orbiting. These readings include GPS, compass, and imagery.
  5. The safety pilot will assume control and land the UAV.
  6. Scenario End.

Test 3 - Waypoint Navigation

  1. A UAV will be launched and be placed into autonomous control.
  2. The UAV will fly to up to ten preprogrammed waypoints in succession.
  3. The UAV will orbit the final waypoint with a radius of 20-40 meters for 1-2 minutes.
  4. The UAV will gather sensor readings while orbiting. These readings include GPS, compass, and imagery.
  5. The safety pilot will assume control and land the UAV.
  6. Scenario End.
